PeaceHealth - Nurses Week 2020

Tristar was contacted by PeaceHeath in the USA about a campaign they wanted to put together for Nurses Week 2020. This short video was to highlight the amazing work our healthcare professionals do everyday to keep us all fit and well. It’s always nice to be involved in a sync that shines a spotlight on something so important. The track they wanted to match with the visual element was a song by artist BETH called ‘Family’, the lyrics and meaning behind the track fitted the sentiment of the visuals perfectly.

This campaign happens every year but I’m sure we can all agree that 2020 has been one for the history books. 2020 showed us all just how important our health care professionals are in society. May 12th being the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of nursing. Healthcare systems usually celebrate their nurses and the work they perform at the frontline with patients and families with a variety of celebrations each year.

Additionally, in January 2020, the World Health Organization designated 2020 as the international year of the nurse in recognition of their impact in all countries in fostering and promoting health. This year, as a result of COVID-19 usual celebrations were canceled. And with the obvious heroic role nurses have played at the very frontlines in saving lives at great risk to themselves, Peacehealth wanted to recognise them in a video depicting a nurse holding the hands of the dying when their families could not be with them. This was a very emotional and powerful sync. Artist Beth was also thrilled to be involved in such a worth cause.
